Hi! I'm Brent. I'm a master's candidate at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program, where I make art and interactive experiences using code, design and physical technologies. I don't update this site very often, but you can keep up with what I'm doing there on my Medium.
Right now I've been focusing on work with machine learning, programming, fabrication and physical computing. I like finding novel applications for complex technologies and making them as simple and accessible as possible where I can. Recently, I've been thinking a lot about how technology helps inform and alter the self, and the ways that feedback loop can be explained, changed, and designed.
In a past life, I worked as a web developer at Mouth Foods, where I worked with JS across the stack and ate a lot of weird snacks. Prior to becoming a developer, I studied philosophy and French at Reed College in Portland, OR. I also did a lot of odd jobs ranging from doing research in the US Senate to driving a forklift for a winery in rural Oregon.
